The Minority Aging Research Study (MARS) is a longitudinal, clinical-pathologic cohort study of older African Americans without known dementia. The overall goal of the study is to identify risk factors for and determine the neuropathologic basis of cognitive impairment in older African Americans. *Note: All published information has been collected from the article referenced in the Marker Paper box below. Therefore, there may be variations with more advanced versions of the study.*
