Initiatives -
The objective of the study is to describe the health status of a population of centenarians, measuring disease and disability prevalence, use of social and health services, and present and past lifestyles. It is particularly interesting to quantify cognitive impairment, because of its high prevalence and its consequences at the personal and societal levels. Investigations will also concentrate on correlations between these variables and genetic and biological characteristics. *Note: All published information has been collected from the article referenced in the Marker Paper box below. Therefore, there may be variations with more advanced versions of the study.*
