Sub-Saharan African network of African-led research in HIV (particularly acute HIV (AHI)) and Tuberculosis (TB) infection. We aim to shape and drive locally relevant basic, clinical and translational research in Africa.To become a source of fundamental discoveries into the susceptibility, transmission and cure of HIV, TB and related diseases. We also seek ways to improve diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

- Follow Up
- Demographic and health information is collected every three times a year from all registered households, with one senior household member reporting on all resident and non-resident individual members of the household. It includes reports of all births, deaths, marriages and moves into and out of the area. Household socio-economic data is collected once a year. All resident individuals over the age of 15 are interviewed annually and a dried blood spot taken for biomeasures, including HIV sero-status.
